Our
Story
Our story began when we met while working at Cook County Jail and it is there that we realized we shared a common passion for helping others and a deep interest in the field of psychology. Working in such a challenging environment allowed us to witness the realities of the criminal justice system and the impact it had on individuals' mental health. It was here, amidst the chaos and complexity of the jail, that we discovered the incredible synergy of our collaboration. Despite our different personalities, we quickly realized that our unique traits and strengths complemented each other perfectly.
Together, we form a powerful trio with a shared vision of making a positive impact on the lives of others. Our combined experience and expertise in forensic psychology have equipped us with a unique perspective and a rare understanding of the human mind. We firmly believe in the power of honesty, empathy, and building trust with our clients. We aim to break down barriers and stigmas associated with therapy, creating an environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves. By infusing our work with humor, compassion, and cultural awareness, we strive to make a genuine difference in the lives of those we serve.
Whether you're facing challenges within the criminal justice system or seeking support for any psychological concerns, we are here to help. Together, Jessica Macias, Jessica Bosques, and Tiffany Schaefer are dedicated to guiding you through your journey with warmth, understanding, and a shared determination to empower you to overcome obstacles and thrive
Meet the Team

Clinical Therapist
Jessica Macias, LCPC
My name is Jessica Macias. I am a proud Latina, born and raised in Chicago, and bilingual in Spanish. With over 13 years of experience in the field of psychology, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations across various clinical settings.
My professional experience includes supporting victims of domestic violence, children affected by abuse or neglect, families involved in the child welfare system, and unaccompanied minors under the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement. I have also worked with incarcerated youth at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center and adult inmates at Cook County Jail. Additionally, I have provided individual, couples, and family therapy in a private practice setting.
I am a certified DUI evaluator and have completed specialized training in immigration evaluations, gaining experience in conducting these assessments. I have also completed 40-hour mediation skills training through the Center for Conflict Resolution.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
My therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral and existential treatment. In therapy, I emphasize the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship by introducing myself as a human first and a therapist second. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, emotions, and concerns. I often use humor in our sessions to help ease anxiety and build trust.
